Here's Patrick Savile's portfolio, including work for Nickelodeon and Pop!
I’d say that when one of the few companies lauded by children the world over commissions you to design artwork for the interior walls of their HQ, you know you’ve made it. This actually happened to Patrick Savile, the graphic designer and illustrator responsible for splashing his irrevocably diverting artwork throughout the building that houses kids TV channel Nickelodeon, resulting in playful digital illustration, typographic experiments and cartoon eyes a plenty.
It’s not all just fun and games though – the London-based designer has also created covers for the internationally revered fashion magazine Pop as well as that holy grail of independent editorial design Print Isn’t Dead, with some proposed album artwork and the occasional book cover thrown in for good measure too, proving that he’s as comfortable creating mature, considered layouts as he is working on a dream commission for Nickelodeon. It’s a blend he attributes to having grown up “on a solid diet of weird 70s sci-fi and fantasy” and a love of comics, which is tuning out to be a very effective recipe indeed. Stay tuned to see more from this talented fellow very soon.
