Canadian illustrator Lucas Soi makes some pretty intensely detailed work – in terms of the actual mark making and also the level of narrative he can achieve with each pen and ink drawing. The subject matter balances on a dark-remarkable equilibrium and in its scale it leaves you with not a lot of words apart from “respect” (and “what?”). Pictured is a detail from Black Mass from the series Cradle Stories 2009-2010.
