Stack announces winners of its independent magazine awards

Last night in London, Stack hosted its second ever awards ceremony celebrating the best independent magazines. More than 150 editors, designers and publishers met to find out the winners of the 11 awards. Magazine of the Year was awarded to Amsterdam-based MacGuffin, and launch of the year was presented to Real Review. The full list of winners and runners up can be read below.

The winners and commendations were judged by an international panel of magazine experts that included Gail Bichler, Design Director of the New York Times Magazine, Debbie Millman, President of AIGA, and Jeremy Leslie, Creative Director of magCulture. The shortlists were made up of independent print titles from across the world and winners included magazines from Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Lebanon and the US.

“The standard of entries this year was extremely high across all categories,” says Steven Watson, founder of Stack. “It’s been another exceptionally good year for independent publishers, and I’m delighted that the expanded awards have been able to recognise the fantastic work being done by these passionate makers.”
