Massimo Says is a new design-focused text generator known for its rants on fictional studios
The AI text generator, founded by Norwegian platform Brandpad, is here to make you "think, laugh" and "question reality" with its new self-described vocabulary.
Brandpad, the Norwegian cloud-based brand guidelines platform, has launched Massimo Says, an AI text generator which will allow designers to never see the words “Lorem ipsum” ever again.
Described by Brandpad as the world’s first “AI-powered, design specific” text generator, Massimo has been fed his knowledge of the creative field “with tons of text from design books, websites, brand guidelines and articles,” explains BrandPad. “The result? A text generator that makes you think, laugh and maybe even question reality.”
We know all too well the frustrations of our art directors chasing us pesky writers for text and are pretty sure they’ll side with Brandpad on being pretty “sick of the Latin thing and its countless variations”. Aligning with the work designers are likely to be doing when needing a text generator, Massimo’s conversation skills will hopefully relate to what “our clients do every day and hopefully, humour them along the way”.
With a self-described vocabulary that “is quite bonkers”, users can expect rants about “fictional design studios, great (and not so great) non-existing branding projects, pull in a little philosophy here and there, and he has been known to create a list or two,” says Brandpad. Our favourite example to date includes: “The typeface is also looking groovy these days”.
Massimo himself has been made as a side project while the BrandPad team were researching how it could use AI to improve its service. Designed by Nicklas Haslestad, project managed by Morten Aamodt and developed and designed by Lasse Mejlvang Tvedt, a further thing to note is that Massimo always speaks in Graphik by Commercial Type. You can give it a go yourself here.
