ManvsMachine launches new set of hypnotic idents for ITV2
Following the initial launch of its “badly behaved” branding for ITV2, ManvsMachine has released a second batch of hypnotic idents for the channel.
Described as a “digital tombola”, this fresh set of melting cacti, jostling tennis balls and explosive mashed potato joins the existing collection of real life hotdogs and volatile cups of tea to form part of 300 000 ident iterations randomly sequenced by an automated modular play-out system developed by ITV Creative specifically for this project.
Continuing its strategic communication of ITV2’s defining themes, ManvsMachine “amplifies everyday life” with surreal depictions of houseplants and carrier bags in theatrical reincarnations of their usual settings.
Watch ManvsMachine’s Mike Alderson’s Here 2015 talk where he explores the agency’s work and his journey into the world of design.
