It’s Nice That is currently looking for a new junior staff writer to join our editorial team. We’re keen to hear from astute writers who are passionate and knowledgeable about the creative sector, particularly graphic design, and with an interest in illustration, photography, animation and art. The successful candidate will be writing for It’s Nice That on a daily basis, mainly for our Work section.

As a junior staff writer, you will be expected to source and research creatives to feature, discuss ideas with the rest of the editorial team, and write two articles per day – writing with clarity, personality and an understanding of the creative process. You should have a strong interest in graphic design and a great pool of resources to find the next graphic designers pushing boundaries in the sector.

You will also be asked to contribute across the rest of our editorial output through maintaining contacts, sourcing stories and suggesting topics and creatives for us to cover in other sections, such as News, Features and Partnerships.

You will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, organised, inquisitive and a great communicator, with great cultural awareness and an eye for detail. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career as a design journalist to develop their skills, contacts and experience in a nurturing and fun environment.
