Anish Kapoor’s ArcelorMittal Orbit sculpture in London’s Olympic Park will become the “world’s biggest helter-skelter,” as plans have been approved to built a 178-metre twisting slide around the structure. With 12 loops, the slide will begin at 74m from the ground, the slide will be built in time for spring 2016 according to The Evening Standard. The paper quoted Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park director of visitor services Peter Tudor as saying the slide will be “unobtrusive,” and will “fit within the silhouette of the sculpture – but you will be able to see it."
