Nothing gets us more excited here at It’s Nice That than a host of inspiring creative talks; that’s why our Nicer Tuesdays event sits at the core of what we do. A staple in our cultural calendar for over 10 years (and we hope yours too!), this year’s events have seen a bit of a shake up. Instead of taking place every month, there’s now going to be a few breaks in April, July, August and December – we don’t want you getting fomo on your summer holiday now do we? In addition to two incredible talks, we’re now also hosting a longer Q&A with our editor-in-chief Matt Alagiah. So far, we’ve had an in-depth discussion with Wilfrid Wood about the art of pissing people off and an exploration of how we can make the design industry more inclusive with Aries Moross. Sounds good? We thought so. Without further ado, let’s have a look at February and March’s events.
February
It’s safe to say that February’s Nicer Tuesdays got the 2023 event season off to an incredible start; numerous tequilas were sipped, the art market was a hit and, of course, there were three amazing talks that really got the creative juices flowing. Kicking things off, Suzy Chan gave us a unique insight into how she weaves social commentary into her maximalist design work, and then Crack Magazine took us on a tour through the creative process behind its extra special publication, The Collections. Rounding up the night, Wilfrid Wood gave the audience a very humorous lesson in sticking to your guns and not holding back.

March
In March, the Nicer Tuesdays stage was heaving under the weight of such immense creative talent. Alongside some drinks and some serious spending at the art market (the It’s Nice That team pockets were a whole lot lighter after the event), we saw three great creatives take to the stage. Brindha Kumar gave the audience an immensely detailed behind-the-scenes look at her project with Selfridges, and Wendy Huynh led us through her community-focused, suburb-exploring project Arcades. Finally, design legend Aries Moross wowed the audience with their astute insights into the state of the design industry and what a more inclusive future may look like.
