Via “simple gesture and poetic command” artist Jim Hodges dramatically engages an audience within a room sized installation of brightly coloured boulders that combine real and imagined elements of reflection. His current exhibition in New York’s Gladstone Gallery includes the mercurially mirrored rocks (pictured) and scathed photographic wall-works, both effortlessly juxtaposing “dense organic forms with interventions of synthetic beauty.” Showing until December 23.
