We have previously nodded at the work of Je suis une bande de jeunes who have an affinity for publishing zines featuring contemporary photography, headed up by Messrs. Jérémie Egry, Nicolas Poillot and Aurélien Arbet. Now they have curated their friends and fellow artists – a spectacular list of contributions from the likes of Ann Woo, Grant Cornett and Nicolas Gottlund – into a most excellent exhibition in Paris gallery 12Mail. Accepting that most of the artists’ youths were whiled away in the 1990s, the curators have made that era the theme with a very well-guaged, immediate and undeniably cool selection of work. Bartholomew is on till November 16.
