The garden is a better place to practice, but, having stumbled across conceptual artist Robert Kinmont’s series 8 Natural Handstands – a project very successfully completed in the ‘60s before Kinmont, then aged 30, retired for a while, fed-up with the art world which had until then only offered him glimpses of recognition – we’d question the point. There are no greater handstands than these.
