Veronica Ditting on The Gentlewoman and her editorially driven design process
Creative director Veronica Ditting is best known for her landmark work in the publishing industry, including the design of The Gentlewoman, and her art direction of Fantastic Man and Cos Magazine. At Nicer Tuesdays she spoke about her London-based studio, which is surprisingly compact for its impressive output, at just six people.
“The approach of the studio is editorially driven,” she explains in the short clip – an edited version of the full talk, which could not be published in full as it featured top secret details of studio projects. “It’s not just about form, but also the dialogue between me and the collaborators… the dialogue between form, creative direction, photography and language.”
