Filmmaker William Strobeck’s day-to-day seems rife with contrast. One moment he’s on the beach with style icon Chloe Sevigny, the next he’s with his mum, laughing at Photo Booth distortions. Both scenes appear side by side in Strobeck’s recently released My Lovely Mess, a haunting but often very funny portrayal of life as a series of interconnected snapshots.
