Munich-based studio Moby Digg and their fantastic AABER Award identity
How many design studios can you think of who are named after a mis-pronounced classic novel? Because Munich-based design studio Moby Digg is, and that fact, coupled with their fun, bright site, propels them above most straight-laced studios in our book.
Their specialty is in designing for events, creating communication materials and crafting visual identities, which explains why their art direction and exhibition catalogue for the AABER Award, a cultural award for young artists in Munich, is so spectacular. Employing a selection of irregular, hand-painted shapes in vibrant colours as their main motif, the studio have created a malleable identity for the awards, allowing them endless possibilities for progression as the years continue to roll around. Judging by their aesthetic and the eclectic collection of work on their site, this is a studio that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that only means good things as far as we’re concerned.
