McMaster-Carr is probably one of the best hardware shops in the world and trust me, I’ve been to a few. An extremely easy and clear to use interface with beautifully illustrated components to boot – it’s a perfect example of how to design a website that needs to sell half a million products. It’s a shame they don’t ship to the UK but it’s still a great resource for finding that specific component you know exists somewhere.
