Strolling around the Saatchi Gallery on King’s Road is a favourite London pastime for many of the capital’s culture aficionados – and rarely do their shows disappoint. The last time I was there for the excellent Shape of Things to Come exhibition I wasn’t expecting to have my breath taken away by anything in two dimensions. That was until I walked into Matthew Monohan’s room and was confronted by his Untitled symmetrical oil painting pieces, including this one, (Red Face) that I urge you to discover for yourself.
