Kaleidoscopic, inventive and textural work updates from Marian Bantjes
Marian Bantjes is no stranger to It’s Nice That. We’ve covered a monograph celebrating ten years of her work, sat down with her at OFFSET Festival in Dublin, and earlier this year she shared her advice for entering design awards. She recently pointed our attention to a wave of new work, which, as ever, shows her knack for inventive design and her almost obsessive attention to detail. Making use of materials from plasticine to sand and earth from around the world for three-dimensional patterns and custom lettering, to kitsch carpets emblazoned with her maximalist designs, Marian’s hands-on design and illustration continues to embody playfulness and intricacy.
