Made by Hand is a film project that documents the growing culture of craftspeople producing objects by hand in Brooklyn NY. Focussing on manufacturers who create products sustainably and, above all, skillfully it aims to highlight the rich narrative behind hand-crafted objects, from the unique materials that compose them to the stories’ of the makers themselves. Exquisitely shot and carefully curated this is a project that offers so much great content in spite of its infancy. Our favourite so far tells the story of Joel Bukiewicz a writer-turned-knifemaker striving to create the perfect kitchen blade.
