This post is noteworthy for two reasons. 1) Friedlander is an American icon, and should be celebrated. His body of work, which encompasses over 60 years worth of social insight, is and will remain absolutely vital. 2) We have it on good authority that one of our Issue #6 interviewees counts Friedlander as a major influence, which probably doesn’t help in identifying who it is (how many people must Friedlander have inspired?!), but which hopefully excites you in any case.
