I emerged from Hattie Stewart’s fabulous new zine feeling a tad disoriented. Inside her drawings it’s often hard to know which way is up, or which way leads out. This mega-tallented illustrator has been on the upswing since graduating just a few years ago, garnering commissions from Diesel, House of Holland and Luella Bartley among others. But it’s her personal work we enjoy the most, where her penchant for impenetrable patterns, made-over magazine covers and cute-but-creepy cartoon characters can roam unrestrained.
