Remember Frode Skaren of It’s Nice That Graduates 2009 fame? Well you probably should, although to be honest we’ve been stupidly inattentive to his output these past few years. In spite of that, Frode’s been busying himself (and I mean really busying himself) in his Norwegian studio producing a prolific mix of clean-cut graphic design and vintage comic book-influenced illustration, not to mention some choice bits of woodwork. In fact, he’s just been commissioned by Bielke+Yang to produce a 3D piece for Proviant Audio’s Drift Days & Disco Nights release, creating a nine-armed disco monster to front the album. There’s a behind-the-scenes video to accompany it that sees Frode cutting, sanding, polishing, painting and screwing his final piece to perfection in his studio workshop. We’re pretty envious of that workshop.
