Davide Bonazzi’s editorial illustrations are polished, cheeky and textural
While Davide Bonazzi’s editorial work echoes the same warm hues as many other illustrators, his mix of digital techniques with scanned in textures sets his illustrations apart. His illustrious client list demonstrates this having been commissioned by The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, Die Zeit and Scientific American among others.
We featured an illustrated series of Bologna-based Davide’s last year that depicted the quiet adventure of an elderly couple. The same sense of narrative is present in his commercial work despite the conceptual nature of his illustrations. With the odd visual gag and his ability to play with the landscape his work is set in, Davide’s work is thoughtful and accomplished.
