David Ellison is a photographer with his eyes firmly set on rural Britain. His impressive body of work deals with the cultural idiosyncrasies of a life spent in the countryside and explores some of the bizarre ways in which we Brits kill time – documenting the stories of folk wrestling stars and military musicians. He also photographs the landscapes that frame his portraits – bleak former industrial towns and desolate coastlines that skillfully capture the spirit of our peculiar island.
