Designer Chloe Pannatier looks at fakes and risk in art and money

Date
27 November 2015

Graphic designer Chloe Pannatier specialises in work on the theme of fakes, luck and risk, both artistic and monetary. She graduated from Switzerland’s ECAL earlier this year with projects on simulation in art and culture, performance and the lottery and has since been commissioned to design the identity for a museum for counterfeit money. Chloe’s design for the Musée de la Fausse Monnaie includes a layered poster of gradients, text, image and security designs that allow for multiple combinations that behave in a similar way to a currency’s bills. The posters were screen printed, which adds to the narrative of the counterfeits process and gives the series an evocative tactility.
