There are sometimes bodies of work that prove problematic in their lack of one specific medium – how do we know whether selecting a photograph by a hyphenate who also creates music videos, wallpapers, works on paper, etc., is the ‘right’ decision. Basically, we don’t, which means the process of selection is this: we close our eyes, dip into the portfolio, and hope for the best.
