Doing the rounds, and quite rightly so, is the art-directed project of Bjoern Ewers who has inserted a macro lens into the body of instruments to produce these exceptional images for the Berliner Philharmoniker. The similarity between the space in which an orchestra might play and the internal space in which the sound is produced makes a wonderful visual symmetry, brilliantly communicated by Bjoern in the careful capturing of wooden rib-like beams, f-shape skylights and sweeping walls of wood, wind and brass instruments.
