Independent bookshop Antenne Books share five out-of-print titles
Antenne Books is to independent art bookshops what cool kids are to playgrounds – generously exchanging the very best in Pokemon cards from their reserved spot on the climbing frame – except for the Pokemon cards are beautifully made books about art, photography, design and illustration, and the climbing frame is a neat website. They shared five of their favourite out-of-print publications, including some absolute bangers from Ari Marcopoulos and Ed Templeton, leaving us envious and awestruck in equal parts. For their full range, check out their website.

Ed Templeton: Teenage Kissers
Published by Seems, Teenage Kissers still remains one of the quickest titles to sell out. Templeton has a real loyal following with the majority of his publications selling out and becoming collectible. His work celebrates youth, even for its awkwardness, and this book is a really beautiful example of this.

We’ve had a few books that pay homage to Ed Rusha’s amazing books and we love them. This cover typeface alone is an unmistakeable nod towards the master of photobooks. The repetition of a subject matter makes us smile also.

We’ve been lucky enough to acquire a number of Peter Sutherland’s books. Muddy Treads takes you on a small adventure, always with something a little off-kilter to keep you guessing.

Ari Marcopoulos has been documenting subcultures for over thirty years. His photographic style and complete disregard for editing lends itself really well to this bold phone-book format. It’s also co-published by Nieves who have been with us from the start.

Hysteric Glamour is full on high-impact. The pace of the book is exciting and we love the references to London street fashion and culture. There are hundreds of images in here so something new can be found on opening it again and again.
