Aaron Wojack captures America in all its sun-kissed glory
Aaron Wojack’s work is a sun-kissed delight, fizzing with energy and good vibes. Which is why it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise to learn they were commissioned by Virgin, though Aaron’s skill and the vibrancy he imbues each photo with makes them feel beautifully personal for a commercial project.
“Last summer I was hired by San Francisco agency Eleven and Virgin America to travel to Virgin’s destination cities and create a library of imagery that communicates the vibe of each place while still working together as a larger body of work,” says Aaron. “Over the course of one month I went to 15 cities. I shot every single day and would edit and deliver images at night and while traveling. The images were used on social media. It was a wildly fast-paced job, sometimes I would be in a city for less than 24 hours.”
The series fits elegantly alongside Aaron’s self-initiated work, and is born from the same place of an intrigue with people and personality, combining slick portraiture with energetic landscape shots.
