Very much the coming man in the realm of art and cartography, London-born, Berlin-based Stephen Walter makes incredible city maps and landscapes using pencils, and was recently featured in the British Library’s Magnificent Maps exhibitions. He and I have been doing as series of exploratory walks though Berlin as research for his forthcoming map of the city. So far we’ve been to Teufelsberg, Treptow and the Tegeler See, and plan to do more walks to destinations whose names don’t necessarily begin with the letter ‘T’.
