Yann Le Bec draws the many lives of plush suburbia
Illustrator Yann Le Bec started posting personal work on his blog late last year and there is now a brilliant and constantly growing set of drawings forming a sort of disjointed narrative of various journeys through suburbia. The style of drawing is a continuation from the efficient line work of his commercial practice, pushed further through narrative details and tonal applications. It’s interesting to see Yann’s characters interacting with a landscape, particularly one so plush with trees, boulders, open waters and cracked eggs.
Yann’s work has previously appeared in The Gourmand, The Happy Reader, on Onefinestay and YCN amongst many other commissions.
