The Muppets sing merrily about giant crumpets in new Warburtons ad

For most of us the Muppets and their high jinks have been a part of of our childhood, what’s Christmas without a showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol? It’s this nostalgia and warm, fuzzy feeling that bread maker Warburtons has latched onto with its new advert to introduce its latest yeast-infused product, giant crumpets. Using The Muppet Show theme song and cleverly adjusting the lyrics we see Kermit and the gang having a good old fashioned sing song about the buttery tea time treat. Directed by Declan Lowney from Another Film Company, the ad is silly and fun, and sees the Muppets at some of their musical best, with each character delivering their lines with pizazz and showmanship. As part of a new £25m campaign, it’s clear no price is too high for comforting carbohydrates and as adverts for crumpets go, this one is pretty good.
