The sophomore release is a traditionally tricky affair. There are decisions to be made. Do you retain qualities that made the inaugural outing a success? Or do you experiment, try something new, throw caution to the wind? The Milan Review – our favourite Milanese literary journal! – seems to have done a little of both. Last year’s appropriately haunting launch issue is now succeeded by The Milan Review of the Universe – a Zodiac-inspired mix of short stories and artist portfolios that adds serious visual intrigue to its list of tick boxes.
