If you haven’t heard of the Submarine Channel before, then listen up. This Amsterdam-based online platform posits itself as “the future of storytelling”, and if their latest project The Art of Pho is anything to judge by, such grandiosity might not be above them. It’s a digital adaptation of the graphic novel (of the same name) by Julian Hanshaw, and in the vein of their usual genre-defying content AOP is pretty hard to classify. Comic strip, animated short, computer game – I could call it any or all of these. But what I will say for sure is it’s a delectable adventure, the likes of which I’ve never seen before.
