We’re always big fans of those who document lesser-known subcultures, especially if those subcultures involve spray paint, cars, and big clouds of smoke. Simon Davidson is one such gentlemen – he’s been photographing the Australian drag-racing scene for almost a decade. Turns out (joy of joys!) it’s a wacky, wild and exhibitionistic sport that’s positively thriving. His latest series, Salt and Smoke, is a devilish blend of high-performance automobiles and sweeping desert vistas. And for those daredevils amongst you, I’d highly recommend Burnouts.
