Photography: Rising star Sara Naim wows us with her versatile portfolio
We came across the work of terrific young photographer Sara Naim after she won the inaugural Making Pictures Award but it turns out this is merely the latest accolade on what looks set to be a surefire route to creative stardom. Sara grew up between Dubai and London and after graduating from the London College of Communications worked for a time as the assistant for the incomparable Ryan McGinley. The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Vice and National Geographic are among those who’ve featured her work and her portfolio shows she is equally adept at portraits, documentary and landscapes. But it’s the latter we’ve chosen to feature today – brilliantly arresting images which have the prefect combination of aesthetic enjoyment and the odd niggly question they throw up. Such as how did she get that cow’s undivided attention?
