Screening at Resonate, and available to view online in full, are two films by Gabriel Shalom that take discursive looks into the notions of aesthetics (The Future of Art) and an essayistic re-definition of the idea of timelessness (Timeless, featured). Both are suited to the way he (and everyone else at the festival) think about “storytelling in the networked era” with members of the digital creative community (like Rafaël Rozendaal and Bruce Sterling) speaking serendipitously about each other to contextualise their own thoughts – each film offers these consequence-like-conversations in a nuanced and future-open way.
