Illustration: Malika Favre graces swimming pools, empty and full alike for ALDO

Malika Favre’s clean curved lines, waves of light and fascination with primary colours make her the queen of slinky illustration, and her new work for shoe brand Aldo follows her on from her elegant bathrooms for TOTO with a well-shod hop, skip and jump. Based around a luxe sun-drenched swimming pool and complete with hose-pipe, sun-bed and her favoured monochromatic patterns interspersed with bolts of yellow and red, Malika’s work is as chic and as quirky as ever. Never has illustration for a shoe-brand had me so itching to yank off my own footwear and run around barefoot beneath a sprinkler.
