Well here’s a thing: what happens when one of your favourite animators/illustrators teams up with talented chap Parallel Teeth? A 360 degree mind-boggling animation round one very weird kitchen, that’s what. Entitled Kooky Kitchen, this new film lets viewers move around the room and see every angle, without any fancy VR kit. Parallel Teeth (or Robert Wallace to the taxman) hooked up with Julian on Twitter, and the clever twosome decided they’d get together to make an animated virtual reality that brought their styles together in an imagined setting.
According to Strange Beast, the creative studio representing Parallel Teeth, “Julian and Robert both carried out their own tests for 360 animations and decided to create one together. Starting with Julian modelling the room, Robert then decorated the space with 2D elements, including the ‘chill lil’ skipping dude", before Julian finished it off with a pumping stereo and a variety of radio stations!’
The result is a bonkers but adorable trip inside the minds (and perhaps kitchens) of two talented creatives, and the tech aspect is pretty mind blowing for a humble YouTube vid.
