Foreign Policy's considered designs for a brand guide to Singapore
Foreign Policy Design Group, who we featured on the site last year, has nailed the art of collating diverse and sometimes complex ideas into a beautiful, cohesive publication. The first book in its new series, Brand Guide: Singapore Edition is like a beautifully arranged scrapbook of your dreams, rounding up “iconic homegrown brands that attest to the current golden age of design in Singapore,” the studio explains on their Behance page.
There are 17 brands featured in the guide and the focus appears to be on the process and labour that’s gone into establishing these creative companies. To combat the dryness of the brand and design reports that feature in the book, there’s pull-outs, anecdotes and imagery to build a rich narrative of the brands. Mismatched paper in various sizes collides with simple, well-spaced layouts, and I can’t wait to see how the Singapore-based studio tackles the next few books in their Brand Guide Series.
