David Rudnick’s distinctive designs for music producer Evian Christ
David Rudnick’s work ticks all the boxes in terms of striking typography, cracking visual references and slick compositions. His ongoing designs for music producer Evian Christ AKA Joshua Leary epitomises this sentiment, as the designer executes posters, album and CD artwork that visually interpret the music Evian Christ creates.
We’ve swooned over his past projects before for their freshness, and here David manages to convey a personal feel to the work. This distinctive tone is partly due to David designing many of the typefaces featured and it’s this attention to detail that makes his work so engaging.
His poster work is like organised chaos as contrasting fonts sit beside warped found imagery and cartoons creating a nostalgic but still relevant quality. He becomes slightly more restrained when it comes to the CD artwork where just one typeface and a simple graphic is used, yet even in these quieter design moments David demonstrates his skill as a designer and image maker.
