Wonderfully loopy comic collages from Adult Swim animator Ben Mendelewicz

New York-based illustrator Ben Mendelewicz draws comics, illustrates and animates for the likes of Adult Swim, Stussy and Funny or Die. He has contributed to Mouldmap, Happiness and Weird with comic horror stories of white collar jobs with fragmented scripts of bastardised professional jargon.

Ben graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2013, and his work is a sickly mix of collage and digital manipulation, with lurid colours and gross representations of everyday life. It’s great. I was particularly drawn to his collage work – awash with stray eyeballs, dinosaurs and cut-outs that appear to be from health magazines, overlaid with doll bands playing keytars.
