If you prove to me that you have seen this image and not clicked on it, then you win a prize. It is one of Alison Brady’s portraits, in a series of hallucinogenic photographs of forest-dwellers (forest in the mind) and is just a taster of the weirdness to come. Fixated by women, trauma and the sterility of female-protocol, Brady has a portfolio made of very weird stuff indeed. Even in her own online statement she uses the words madness, alienation, sexual, grotesque, hysteria, traumatic and hallucination – so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
